This Movie Was Fantastic And I Recommened It If Yo
This movie was fantastic and I recommened it if you have a family. All ages can understand and enjoy.
This Film Is Absolutely Brilliant. Normally I Hate
This film is absolutely brilliant. Normally I hate slapstick films with stupid humour and under normal circumstances I would never have watched this film. But, when I went to Florida last year, on the plane I had the choice of watching this, 'Brokeback Mountain' or 'She's the Man' on the provided TV screens.
I was expecting Steve Martin to do loads of over the top, ridiculous slapstick humour but this just didn't happen. Overall it was just a really funny film.
The popularity of the film on the plane was evident because every ten minutes or so, half the people would burst out in synchronised laughter, and everyone else on board would look around to see what was going on.
Steve Martin shows why he is one of the world's best actors by giving an extremely entertaining performance as the dim witted french police inspector, Jacques Clousseau. An example of the humour is when Clousseau travels to New York he goes and buys a hamburger, and starts complaining how it is disgusting and not real food. He then takes a bite and instantly falls in love with hamburgers, and starts crying at how delicious they are. Later, when he is returning to France he is stopped by customs and aasked what he has in his pockets. He yells 'hamburgers', only he is French so it sounds like 'AM-BORG-WAS' and so follows a hilarious scene where the police think he is an armed lunatic, and Clousseau fights to protect his beloved hamburgers whilst yelling 'OOM-BOG-WORS', because he thinks they are trying to take them off him!!! You have to watch that scene because it made my sides hurt from laughter. Clousseau is eventually arrested for this misunderstanding with the US customs officers.
What is particularly interesting about this film is that it is a genuinely funny film, which also has a genuine plot. It is quite rare for a film as funny as this to have a genuine plot, because films such as Austin Powers, Jonny English, Wayne's World, etc., etc., just have a token storyline around which they put their funny jokes and sketches.
There are not many action scenes or car chases but there are loads of hilarious sketches which I personally think compensate for this
The cast of actors is without weakness, and Beyonce Knowles plays the part of Xania perfectly.
Finally, the icing on the cake is that my favourite actor, Jason Statham, makes an appearance!
This is definitely not a film to miss and I will be buying the DVD the next time I get round to it.
I Really Expected That I Was Going To Be Be Disapp
I really expected that I was going to be be disappointed when going to watch this film. I am a fan of the original Pink Panther movie and I knew it might spoil it but I wasn't really bothered so I went. To my delight, however, it wasn't half bad. The relationship between the cast was shown really well and the storyline moves along in an interesting flow. Go and enjoy it, it's entertaining and makes you laugh which is the aim so I suppose it succeeds in what the film is made for in the first place.
