I've been with iDealing since the very beginning. I've been very happy with their no frills execution only service. I'm in the process of buying a house and so need money for deposits etc. I had cash sitting in my accounts and applied to close a Standard, ISA and PEP account, I had to do this by post and did so a week and a half ago. I asked for the balance to be paid via BACS into my current account. I became panicky yesterday when i'd heard nothing, my current account hadn't been credited and the cash was still sitting in my idealing accounts. I emailed them over 24 hours ago and heard nothing. I've just emailed them back requesting a reply, I received an apologetic email almost immediately stating that an account took 2-3 weeks to close on average.....how on earth could that be? The accounts only had cash in them and I want paying via BACS! In this day of Faster Payments how can such a transaction take 2-3 weeks? Just be warned when you want your money!
