Space saving, does what it says on the tin, great picture quality easy to use.
Needed to source power supply as virgin media cable box does not supply power to unit from scart plug I was expecting this however, arrived in a jiffy bag thought it would come in a glossy box price good now only £29.90 gbp
Worth the money I paid still exploring all its uses.

The VICE 1000 (Video Image Caption Encoder) uses the latest analogue and digital technology to allow caption information to be incorporated into the vertical blanking interval of a video signal. The VBI is approximately 3.2% of the picture area , signals added to the VBI such as Time Coding ,Closed Caption, Teletext and other signals from DVD / VHS Media which are not visible to the viewer. The VICE 1000 can be powered from pin 8 of a standard 21 pin scart connection or alternatively from an external low voltage DC jack . SVHS and RCA connections are available facilitating a flexible connections system to and from CCTV, DVD , DVDR , VCR, VHS, Set Top Boxes, Games Consuls , Plasma and Projection TV's , Digital Cameras, Home Video and Animation equipment. The VICE 1000 can add an internally generated VITC (Vertical Interval Time Code)signal for image tracking and identification of the video stream or alternatively encode into the VBI caption data.
This unit with the aid of Realtime software allowed me to add my own caption information from my pc direct on to my panasonic DVD recorder via the VICE1000. My presentation looked very professional and at the fraction of the cost which I priced at $700. I am using the VICE1000 on a new project to which the result should be, I'm able to add the generated code to the VBI (Vertical Blanking Interval) and using software allow me to stream various frames of video vai there digital number together in series for a music video for the arts department BBC.
