Although this album has some great songs, I was must honestly say that the full length album in my opinion does not deserve the 'excellent' markings others have given it.

Yes, 'Hands Open', 'Chasing cars' and 'You're all I have' are good songs but the remainder of the album sounds, although different styles are used, all very similar. Perhaps this genre isn't the right one for me, because I find a lot of British Indie bands have a similar annoying sound where the guitars are usually quite light and the drums just seem to go crazy into percussion mode all the time ... what happened to steady power chord rock with good deep vocals?

I tried Snow Patrol after hearing 'Chasing Cars' and 'You're all I have' and because everyone was ranting about it I just got the album thinking it would be as good as the rest ... sad to say I wish I had just bought the first 3 tracks on iTunes and stuck them on some home made collection CD.

I wouldn't advise anyone to buy the album, just download the songs you like and save your money for a good album instead.
