Flashing back to the Golden Age of soul music, Leon Triplett Triplett Records.com is no newcomer trying to revive an earlier sound. A longtime veteran of the music industry, Triplett has a voice that is silky at times and funky in others.
On "So Sexy," Triplett does an electrifying James Brown tribute; it'll have couples bumping and grinding on the dance floor. "So Sexy" also has modern touches, such as a lusty rap thrown into the mix, that'll enable it to cross demographics. But when Triplett wants to reach back in time, summoning the ghost of Marvin Gaye (like on "To Trust You"), he does so with soulful authenticity and a simmering croon.
I bought the The Leon Triplett Project Love America CD, and I loved it! It has a smooth and soulful sound!
