We chose to let with Townends, not only because we loved the property but due to the level of service received by the Letting Agent Peter. He was not too pushy but at the same time showed us the property in great detail and answered all our questions. He was then happy to assist with puting in our offer and requirements to the Landlord, which was then accepted over another higher offer. We are of course very pleased to be moving to our first choice of property and look forward to dealing with Townends. We had also seen other properties that day through other agents who were useless and didn't bother to even show us around any of them. Even if we had liked a few of them this would have put us off. We have been renting for many years and have dealt with many agents, many of which have been awful, especially with their customer service and they have not given us the level of support you would expect, this was one of the deciding factors in our recent move. We have not dealt with Townends so far but hoping from what we have experienced so far that we will have a smooth ride. Of course the fees for any agent are always quite high but at least if you experience good service with all your requirements seen to then you feel less bitter about parting with your money!
