This is the 2nd time I have tried to buy a property with Robinsons. The first time the property was sold to a relative of the house seller, the 2nd time there were 5 offers on the table, we were rejected again. But this time I got the feeling that they sold to somebody that lived along the street who was in and out and in again after our viewing. They could not tell me the next day if the offer that was accepted was over our offer or under. It would have been useful to know since we did a 100 mile round trip to view and we offered over the stated price.

we saw a flat to rent, agreed the rent /deposit , all great UNTIL they took my money...then things got nasty! i reported repairs that were supposed to have been done and was told "you could always move out but that would mean youve broken your lease"! which would incur costs to me . there marton office always stunk of sweat and old pizzas. the staff are unhelpful and one even told me to **** off when i complained!. good company? no 

i used the marton office stokesley road, never have i seen such a group of half baked people !, they tried to force me to insure the LANDLORDS items! . nice way for them to get new for old stuff egh? . if you`d rather not be left in a dump never ever rent from them!. you will regret it. they promise you the moon until they get there grubby hands on your cash then... youve had it! , they will use there illegal tenacy agreements against you to screw you out of even more cash!. they are nothing but a back street landlord peddler. avoid at all costs !.

they simply ignore any repairing work that they promised to do and simply rip you off considering I am a student. the person responsible is lack of knowledge and just keep ignoring our emails.

Anyone considering renting or having any dealings what so ever through Robinson's I would strongly advise you avoid them at all costs. They are the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with and would make better dentists than estate agents!!!! Placed

Please avoid. We initially let our property with Durham branch. From the start the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. Communication diabolical and staff unpleasant. We then went on to sell with Sedgefield. Sold house in matter of days to guy who was friendly with one of the staff. Very biased towards us. Communication very bad and warning signs from beginning. 14 weeks later on day of completion with what we thought was CASH sale Sedgefield said they were not aware we were completing. E mails from solicitor confirmed this. We had enough and pulled out. And the cherry on the top came when we received a letter from Sedgefield saying that buyer had pulled out. This was posted after we picked keys up. Unprofessional. Please please avoid.

I would never recommend these people to my worst enemy. Their so called professional advice and service are what makes estate agents the butt of many a joke

Great property in a great student location, we were all very excited to move in. however, upon turning up to the property, which had been vacant for several weeks over summer, there were several faults with it that all could have easily been fixed had the property been properly checked. these faults included broken furniture, holes in the walls, dangerous garden steps, a broken microwave. In the end after persistent emailing, it took over 8 weeks for the majority of these problems to be fixed, and some are still outstanding, such as a large damp patch. The property managers really take advantage of students living in their properties, we have several friends who use them, and we all agree that we are yet to meet someone as incompetent at their job as our property manager. Would highly recommend that no one goes near robinsons, its an absolutely shocking property management agency. The only mistake on our part was not to take legal action or withhold rent.

I attempted to use Robinsons (Bishop Auckland Branch) to find a rental property, I say attempted as I refused to continue looking at any properties in their portfolio as the service is so poor. I found the whole experience from the initial telephone call to arranging a viewing all the way through to the actual viewing APPAULING. The staff are unhelpful with any questions and enquiries and Did not provide any requested information. When arranging a viewing I was TOLD the date and time (12.00 noon) and not provided with any option or flexibility. On the day of the viewing I received a telephone call informing me it was a “courtesy call” to confirm the viewing – the courtesy call would have been welcome had it been to confirm the correct time unfortunately the voicemail stated a viewing at 2.30 After contacting the office to clarify the correct time of the viewing I was informed yet again a DIFFERENT time and was now told 3.00pm The viewing was terrible the Agent showed up 20 minutes late. There was 3 separate couples viewing the same property all of whom also agreed the service was already disappointing The house was Filthy fair enough the estate agents aren’t cleaners but a simple wipe over and sweep up takes minutes or even to pick up all the junk mail and put it to one side would have been better than the agent KICKING the post down the corridor I work in a service environment and have spoke to many customers about my thoughts and feelings on the level of service (Lack of) and I do not understand how Robinsons are still in business as I have yet not had a good review from any of my customers I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR USE ROBINSONS IN THE FUTURE !

PLEASE USE A DIFFERENT ESTATE AGENTS IF YOU WANT TO SELL OR RENT A PROPERTY.

Robinsons estate agents in Stockton on tees are the most unreliable agents in England thay under value your house never turn up for appointments then blame you for there fault thay try and get you to sell your house at less than the market value just so thay can take your money if you have got a house to sell go somewere else then you wont be ripped off

My home was priced by them, not me. They know the market - they say. No viewers for a year. Paid extra for Premium listing on their advise - waste of money. Total lack of communication between staff - Chester-le_St. Just don't bother - go elsewhere Oh, they then sent overcharge to my solicitor when we did complete - amazing how quick they submit (wrong) bills - shame same effort not put into their sole function. Selling.

Found a house to buy,made an offer.But I was told that if I don't take the mortgage from them,my offer will not be considered.

Robinsons Lettings are an appalling company. They were rude from the first viewing of the house, while we filled the forms in and as they handed the keys over. I should have ran a mile after my very first dealing with them.

Once in the house, they were impossible to get in touch with. For example, the radiator in my 2 year old daughter's room fell off the wall twice, and despite being told by the builder who put it back on that it should not be on a partition wall and needed resiting. Robinsons continually implied that it had something to do with us.

Now I have moved out, they have just taken a months rent out of my account despite my notice period being up and not living in the house. I can't say I'm surprised. Now just to see how long they stall on giving my deposit back..

After purchasing a property in October 2010 from the Robinsons office in Durham i was asked if i wished to rent the property via their lettings office.
The staff in both offices were most helpful and I have had a tenant in the property for almost 2 months now.

I wouldn't recommend these guys at all - complete rip-off merchants. We rented a property through them, as part of their 'full management' service they would come and inspect it every three months which involved a five-second look around the place, that was all - never returned our phone calls, never contacted us back about getting some (increasingly urgent) repairs done to the property, always blamed the landlord for any delays. Now we have moved out, they are withholding money from our deposit for 'cleaning' despite the property being in an absolutely appaling state when we moved in (we cleaned it up ourselves and it took three days with industrial equipment), and we left it very clean when we went out. Utter con-men, wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

We went with Robinsons as the people who we were buying from were selling through them. We thought this would encourage Robinsons to speed things along as it was a 2 sales for them. WRONG! Our 2 bed flat appeared in the local paper once every 3 weeks. I had a friend who was registered with them for details of 2 bed flats in the area and they didn't send her the details, who knows how many other people were registered and didn't get details either. The only people who did come to see it bought it, but they had been driving round the estate looking for flats for sale. We could have stuck our own sign outside with our number on and got the same result. I wish we had done that and saved ourselves a couple of thousand. They didn't ring you back when you rang them and were totally disorganised. I would never recommend them to any one.
