This is the 2nd time I have tried to buy a property with Robinsons. The first time the property was sold to a relative of the house seller, the 2nd time there were 5 offers on the table, we were rejected again. But this time I got the feeling that they sold to somebody that lived along the street who was in and out and in again after our viewing. They could not tell me the next day if the offer that was accepted was over our offer or under. It would have been useful to know since we did a 100 mile round trip to view and we offered over the stated price.

we saw a flat to rent, agreed the rent /deposit , all great UNTIL they took my money...then things got nasty! i reported repairs that were supposed to have been done and was told "you could always move out but that would mean youve broken your lease"! which would incur costs to me .

there marton office always stunk of sweat and old pizzas. the staff are unhelpful and one even told me to **** off when i complained!.

good company? no 

i used the marton office stokesley road, never have i seen such a group of half baked people !, they tried to force me to insure the LANDLORDS items! . nice way for them to get new for old stuff egh? .

if you`d rather not be left in a dump never ever rent from them!. you will regret it. they promise you the moon until they get there grubby hands on your cash then... youve had it! , they will use there illegal tenacy agreements against you to screw you out of even more cash!.

they are nothing but a back street landlord peddler.

avoid at all costs !.

they simply ignore any repairing work that they promised to do and simply rip you off considering I am a student. the person responsible is lack of knowledge and just keep ignoring our emails.

Anyone considering renting or having any dealings what so ever through Robinson's I would strongly advise you avoid them at all costs. They are the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with and would make better dentists than estate agents!!!!

Please avoid. We initially let our property with Durham branch. From the start the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. Communication diabolical and staff unpleasant. We then went on to sell with Sedgefield. Sold house in matter of days to guy who was friendly with one of the staff. Very biased towards us. Communication very bad and warning signs from beginning. 14 weeks later on day of completion with what we thought was CASH sale Sedgefield said they were not aware we were completing. E mails from solicitor confirmed this. We had enough and pulled out. And the cherry on the top came when we received a letter from Sedgefield saying that buyer had pulled out. This was posted after we picked keys up. Unprofessional. Please please avoid.

I would never recommend these people to my worst enemy. Their so called professional advice and service are what makes estate agents the butt of many a joke

Great property in a great student location, we were all very excited to move in.

however, upon turning up to the property, which had been vacant for several weeks over summer, there were several faults with it that all could have easily been fixed had the property been properly checked. these faults included broken furniture, holes in the walls, dangerous garden steps, a broken microwave.

In the end after persistent emailing, it took over 8 weeks for the majority of these problems to be fixed, and some are still outstanding, such as a large damp patch.

The property managers really take advantage of students living in their properties, we have several friends who use them, and we all agree that we are yet to meet someone as incompetent at their job as our property manager.

Would highly recommend that no one goes near robinsons, its an absolutely shocking property management agency. The only mistake on our part was not to take legal action or withhold rent.

Ive now tried on three separate occasions to view property over 3 years with this company (2 residential and 1 commercial) and each time they have failed to even call me back. Once I simply posted a note through the mans door and viewed the house without them (making him aware that as they hadnt introduced me he had no obligation to pay them should I buy). Recently ive seen a plot of land im interested in, so emailed requesting a viewing and information, guess what, no reply again.

I dont know why people pay these jokers, they are simply failing their poor customers.
