It Looks Great And Although It Doesnt Have Much On
It looks great and although it doesnt have much on it I still liked it because it was different. I was sick of all these people going on about how great there phone was, which everyone else had... If you want this phone get it, the camera is ok and if you want to put pictures on the computer, bluetooth them to someone else so they can do it for you. Or buy a bluetooth dongle!
At the end of the day its just a phone which you really need to text and call.. I didnt Like the memory that much it was always filling up with stuff, I think it was because I just got so carried away with it! I was perfectly happy with the phone, had it for a whole year and no problems what so ever. I Got a new phone now, but I will still always miss my Samsung S400i!

My Friend Bought Me The Samsung S400i For My Birth
My friend bought me the Samsung S400i for my birthday and that is the only reason I have not got rid of it. I have been tempted to drop it but don't want to hurt her feelings. My other Samsung phone was much better and easier to use. I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

I Think That This Samsung S400i Is Definitely The
I think that this Samsung S400i is definitely the worst phone that I have ever had. I think that Samsung has gone backwards with this model, before BC in fact. I have had numerous problems with the functions on this phone. I don't understand why Samsung is still producing them. The phone company aren't interested in replacing it, still believing it's the best phone possible. After several months of nagging, I have finally got my way and I'm hoping that my new model will give me a bit more joy.

Having Had This Phone From An Impulse Buy A Couple
Having had this phone from an impulse buy a couple of months ago I seriously regret purchasing it.
the phone itself looks quite cool and sleek in its jet-black finish. The screen is quite large considering the phone itself is quite small. The screen also produces clear sharp displays which I have to say is quite impressive. However that is about the only good feature I can think of with this phone.
Firstly the box it came in only contained the charger, battery and the manual, which I have to say is pretty poor, to connect the phone to your computer you have to buy a separate cable and to have hands free, you guessed it, you have to go and buy it. Not very good I thought, breathing a sigh of resignation for what I was about to be let in for.
Signal - Great, this phone seems to find signal where no other phone can. Which is a great start
Battery life... even on minimal usage you will be lucky to squeeze any more than 2 and a half days out of it. Which by any standard borders on electricity abuse... Where does it all go? When the slide is shut the power to the screen goes off, how can it use all that energy.?
Memory: Not dynamic, have to flush my message inbox regularly because texts are only allocated so much memory which in turn isn't so much after all. Also its not expandable and not that large.
Video playback is absolutely terrible; it's jumpy, grainy and very quiet.. Also no full screen mode.
Camera: whilst boasting 1.3 mega pixel the camera is surprisingly poor, people cannot move if a picture is to be taken and the flash actually ruins pictures in low light if used on flash mode. If you have the flash on continuous you run the risk of blinding your victims - er , sorry friends, as the light is very bright and better suited for lighting your entire house in the event of a blackout... Also picture quality takes a nosedive when blown up just a little bit even when compared to phones with similar camera quality. Also no zoom function in the gallery, which is rather annoying
Mp3 player: Extremely hard to get to and only usable if you spend the money on a data cable or a Bluetooth dongle for your PC, also you will have to buy headphones too.. Limited usage as well considering the miserly memory the phone has.
Bluetooth: It works, but extremely restricted.... You cannot transfer mp3's onto the phone... But it has an mp3 player I hear you all say. Obviously 2 + 2 does not equal 4.
Menu - messy, tatty, hard to navigate (1st page is great, then it falls apart)
however I have to say that 02 have to take some of the blame for the fallacies of this phone by the rubbish I-mode feature. No it does NOT operate anywhere near the speeds of 3G connectivity and email pictures just don't work with this phone as upon opening the file it decides to close after 4 seconds.
Picture messages: Terrible, if the picture is larger than the screen that's tough luck, you cant scroll from side to side nor zoom in or out.
Ahh but its a phone ... right? Technically yes it is... However the call quality is poor compared to that of its rivals and even its previous models... The sound is very bubbly and either too loud or too quiet no matter how much you tinker with the volume in a call. The quality of sound sent to the recipient is also very poor. I have since given up and switched back to my old nokia phone..
I did like sliding the phone open and closed though.... that was cool.. However
All in all very disappointing and not a phone I would recommend to anyone. Poor show Samsung

Previous To The Samsung S400i I Had A Samsung D500
Previous to the Samsung s400i I had a Samsung D500. I was told that if I wanted to go to the latest technology this was the way to go. Well in my opinion, I should have stuck with the D500 as the s400i has been a real let down. I was however given it on a 14 day trial, and although I was sure even then that it was not as good as my other phone, I naively thought I was just been awkward and hadn't given it a long enough go. So a few months later, and what a bad decision I made!
My network is O2, and I really think they are the best network, but the phone is the worst I've had in along time. I have always had Nokia mobile phones in the past, and when I got my Samsung D500 I was that impressed I never considered going back to Nokia until now.
I wouldn't recommend this phone to anybody.

If I Was To Buy The Samsung S400i Mobile Phone Out
If I was to buy the Samsung S400i mobile phone outright, I would have been very disappointed. I was told that it had an MP3 Player, and then I found out that I would have to convert MP3's to Wav files or ACC. If you don't have a bluetooth dongle you can't even get them on your phone.
Overall I was very disappointed, so I sent the phone back!!!
I love it. I don't care what other people say, I say the Samsung S400i mobile phone is worth buying. It is sooooo cute, cool and small. Lots of my friends have it, and all of them like it. If you wanted a slide phone I would recommend this phone. It's also worth the price. I had the Nokia 6111 before, and I think this one is way better. It's the best phone ever.
