Toni And Guy Thermaglass Straighteners

I found the Thermaglass Straightners a total waste of money and their customer service awful. I have e-mailed them three times and are still waiting to get something done about the problem, as £40 is a lot of money to pay for something you cannot use.

I bought the Toni & Guy Thermaglass straighteners from Boots three weeks ago, and they are so awful that I have taken them back and got a refund. The box says that they heat up to 200 degrees within a matter of seconds, but I had to have it on the highest level possible, and there is no way in the world they ever got to that temperature, so it was taking me twice as long to do my hair in the morning, which I don't need! You just need to touch the buttons gently for them to do something so you can easily change the temperature, or even turn them off whilst trying to style your hair without even knowing. Although I got them for £40 in a sale (originally marked up at £79.99) they aren't worth the £40, let alone pretty much £80. They seem to just be trying to charge more money for the name and not the actual quality of the product.

Due to the design of the Toni & Guy Thermaglass straighteners, my hair got trapped in the ridge between the plates and the straightener. I could feel and hear it 'twanging' out of my head! The temperature controls are right where you hold the appliance so I kept altering the temperauture without knowing. i bought these as my rather cheap (but excellent) E-TRIC ones had broken after about 2 years daily hammer. I thought Toni and Guy were a decent name and although (thankfully) I got these half price in the sale in January, the £40 I paid was still way too much. Like a fool I lost the receipt so couldn't take them back when they made a worrying crackling noise just 2 months later and packed up all together! All in all, absolutely terrible design, terrible waste of money.
