2wks Start Of Sept 2009--hotel Filthy. Beach Filth

2wks start of sept 2009--hotel filthy. beach filthy. found 2 dead rats on beach. beach restaurant plagued by hoards of flies, and food not covered. main restaurant food stodgy and repetitive. cooks tunics filthy. staff reluctant to do anything unless tipped. used towels in rooms were folded andplaced under dry towels to give impression os being changed. films were stopped to show football, not everybodys taste. smell of tobacco smoke hung everywhere especially in bar. two good shows "michael jackson show" and "grease". advise touristsnot to visit hotel park unless you want to see animals suffering. overall stay away from this excuse for a hotel

Just Back From A Brilliant Week At The Sahara Beac

Just back from a brilliant week at the Sahara Beach hotel and going back at the end of the summer. The hotel is clean, the food great and the staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble fot them. Searched Monastir and Sousse with my daughter for handbags and realised that Rhamzi's shop in the hotel has the best selection especially when you haggle on price.

I loved my holiday at the Iberostar Sahara Beach, it was that good we are going back in a month. People there are really friendly. If you wont to go but have heard something bad trust me please don't hesitate just go. The only bad point was the rain on our last night.

Very Good Staff, And They Are Very Helpful. Myself

Very good staff, and they are very helpful. Myself and my wife went on a two day Sahara experience with the tour operators, and this was well worth the money. Entertainment during day round the pool at the Iberostar Sahara Beach in Skanes was excellent! Night entertainment very good, especially Lion King. We were there for two weeks and saw a different show every night, and they were all very entertaining.

We are definitely going again.

We Will Definitely Visit The Iberostar Sahara Beac

We will definitely visit the Iberostar Sahara Beach in Tunisia again. The evening entertainment was OK, but nothing to rave about, although there were a few really good shows put on, and the Michael Jackson show was worth watching. There was too much karaoke for my liking though, and too many nights where the entertainment was provided by "including the holiday maker". This might be great for some, but it is not my cup of tea.

My Boyfriend And I Thoroughly Enjoyed Our Holiday

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at the Iberostar Sahara Beach Hotel.

We arrived around midday and got through the airport quite quickly. got on coach staight away and we were at the hotel in no more than 5 mins!

First impressions were that it was extreamly clean and tidy, we filled in the appropriate paperwork, had our photo's taken and recieved our AI cards immeadiatly.

Rooms are very nice and have a lovely bathroom. The only thing I would say could be improved is to have a double bed rather than twin.

Rooms are hoovered, beds are made and towels are changed EVERYDAY!

During our stay we went on 2 excursions provided by the hotel which were excellent value for money.

We went camel riding where you also had to feed the camel a piece of cactus plant from your mouth!!! That was fun, this cost around £12 (this included coach travel). We also went on the 'African Dream' excursion where you travel to the valley of the Atlas mountains. You walk around a lovely wildlife park and then have a 5 course meal whilst watching the African Zulu dancers perform, this costs around £20 (well worth the money).

Meals in the resturant are very nice and the waiters are very helpful.

All of the staff are SUPER friendly.

Just by the resturant there is a photographer. We had our photos done by him and they were excellent.

Watch out for the man selling the crepes in the evenings! He is hilarious! We had such a laugh with him every nite, funniest guy we've ever met!

The reason I have given a rating of '9' is because the evening entertainment is very poor. There was only a couple of nights when there was much worth watching, most nights we ended up playing cards in our room.

Overall the hotel was very nice and I would stay there again. But if I was to go back to Tunisia I would prefer to stay in Sousse as there is more to do and brilliant nightlife.
