Good points:

This washing machine is with me since a month. The reason for choosing this brand is Toshiba's extra ordinary durability & ultimate trust of my grandma, as she used to tell us about a Japanese brand Semi automatic washing machine (originally came in green color ), which ran almost 15 years un-serviced, again this unshakeable trust further stamped with a b/w valve type Toshiba television with 20 years life span!

This 6.5 kg capacity machine comes with Circular Intake, Hybrid Screw Pulsator, Condensed Wash & with a ZERO Standby Power option. Hybrid Screw Pulsator is wonderful, as it doesn't let the clothes entangled, while creating powerful whirlpool to increase washing efficiency. Zero standby power is another boon which saves electricity upto 20%. Another amazing option is Resume function (in case of abrupt power outage). When power goes off, the machine remembers the last moment of operation, which can be restored with a push of a button i.e. you don't have to repeat the programming process again & again. For those who were using semiautomatic machines, this machine washes in clock & anti clock movement, as similar to hand wash which increase fabric life.

It has regular, soak, speed & heavy washing cycles, which depend upon the user. Push to touch electronic panel is easy to use, although it doesn't have a display, except indicating red lights which blinks according to operation. The machine is somehow noise less, however the buzzer's sound is slow & of short interval. This is perhaps that machine is switched off itself, as soon as the operation is completed.

It has separate dispensers for detergent & liquid or bleach. Tub cleaning function is also ideal, if one want to clean it.

This machine is also equipped with Child safety protection i.e. in case the lid is open, & operation is activated the machine stopped working, drain out all water & it continues to beep till the rescue arrive. So it is ideal for those having little kids around.

Finally it is less water & detergent eager, efficient, durable & smart in the range of fully automatic washing machines.

Bad Points:

The detergent or softener compartment is good for nothing, as it is not convenient at all to pour detergent directly & one has to pull it out completely, secondly it is situated at the upper side of the washing drum & in case of lower water level the detergent are not taken efficiently, as a result, the wash is not effective. Even in full water level the particles of detergent can be seen intact in the compartment after final operation. So I recommend direct sprinkle of detergent over the clothes, as it absorb & washes well unlike putting the detergent into the inconvenient compartment.

The same goes for filter which is also fitted at the brink of the drum, which will not work efficiently, in case of low water level wash.

The water intake pipe should also accompanied with fixed water connection type adapter & extra rubber washer (if one wants to fixed water connection).

The brochure which comes with the machine is not mentioning power consumption chart which is around 320-450W. Further the user manual should also include other regional languages, where the product to be exported. Frankly speaking, when I enquired my Toshiba's local display centre, the staff is not well-aware or co-operative at all.
