I had stuggled to find the 'one' after visiting numerous bridal shops in Manchester and Cheshire and so was delighted to discover Jean Jackson.

During my first consultation Jean sketched drawing exactly what I had visualised but had been unable to find.I was then shown beautiful fabrics that would be suitable.

On my next consultation My dress hadbeen made in calico it was amazing and fit like a glove although Jean insisted it needed a few tweaks to make it perfect.

Having confirmed my fabric choices my next fitting was inthe real fabric.

It was morethan I expected and withinmybudget.

The whole making process was incredible and I had helped design my own gown for such an important day.

The staff at Jean Jackson Bridalwear are extremely skillful, and they treat each customer with respect. They have this brilliant way of knowing from the outset what will and won't suit. They are very honest about things, and are a tremendous help with choosing the right dresses for the day. I am currently having one made, and I must say that the service so far has been second-to-none.

I live in London and and was initially skeptical about a dress shop in Urmston, but my mum had heard good things about it, so I decided to give it a go. From the second I met both Jean and Rebecca, I knew they were the people I wanted to design and make my wedding dress. They advised me on colour, style and accessories whilst listening to what I wanted. I was pretty clueless and only really knew what I didn't want, and they came up with several ideas which we worked from. It was wonderful to see Jean's sketches and watch the idea come to life. I didn't mind repeatedly making the journey for the fittings, as Jean and Rebecca were great company. Mine was a November wedding, and I had a silver dress and bodice with a silver coat with a red lining. My daugher Hope was my bridesmaid and she had a red dress with silver sash. My elder bridesmaid was also in silver and looked fantastic. I cannot recommed this company highly enough.

Jean Jackson Bridalwear designed my wedding dress and three bridesmaids dresses. I originally showed pictures of dresses that I liked, and they gave their design views in terms of my height and figure, and which was best for me. They sketched out some ideas, from which we played, and ended up with the perfect dress. I couldn't have been happier. It was the perfect dress for the perfect day. The bridesmaids dresses were also made to perfection to suit the needs of the girls. Ideas were given for head wear for both myself and the bridesmaids. An excellent service all round.

Jean & her daughter Rebecca designed and made my Wedding dress, and my sisters bridesmaid dress. We had a 1950's theme, and Rebecca advised us on shoes, flowers, menswear, the design of the invitations, and even photographic poses! The overall effect was stunning on the day, and I would highly recommend this designer. The service you receive is excellent and the advice and suggestions from Jean & Rebecca, made my day just perfect!

I went to Jean Jackson for my wedding dress on a recommendation from my future sister-in-law, although I was very skeptical. They had a look at the types of dresses I had liked in the shops and recommended a style that they thought would best suit my height/figure. They recommended shades/colours, veils and underwear and took great care and attention to choose the right fabrics and make certain that everything fell within my budget. The whole service was very personal and absolutely fantastic.

These are experienced and trained professionals who know everything there is to know about the business of weddings and who can copy any dress you like or make suggestions which they think will suit your style and will flatter your figure. Having a dress made-to-order is particularly good for those of us who are either very short or tall or an unusual shape who would have trouble finding a dress in a normal shop that would be flattering.

Overall, it was definitely worth the expense, I couldn't have picked a better dress than the one they designed for me, the quality was fantastic, and they helped make sure I got the whole look right from underwear to jewellry to hair.
