colin.'s review of Dansai 852 (Tesco)

“If you are looking for a cheap versatile dvd player...”

Good Points
The Dansai 852 is an absolutely superb machine. I own 2 daewoo dvd players and bought this for my daughter for christmas by chance. It plays brilliantly and never had a problem. It even plays vcds that most dvds can't using the root menu.

Bad Points
Stupid help line number for tesco's (but so simple to use)
if you could take the tesco info off, i would give it 11/10
Can't select forward when listening to mp3, you have to select one file at a time.

General Comments
If you are looking for a cheap versatile dvd player below £100 then the Dansai 852 is the one for you. It plays dvds, mp3, vcds and svcd, also macro disabled (sweet).

I have recommended this to many people and 3 have bought one this week alone and gave it the thumbs up. The other one to watch for is the dansai 1010 for £85.00-smaller than the 852 but works the same with the exception of there is no LCD so you have to use the OSD but still worth the money and fits nicely under your hifi just like a cd player (for all those with limited space)
