Not being a huge fan of the original television series I was actually quite excited by the prospect of the film remake. I had heard pretty good reviews saying it wasn't the cinematic marvel of the year but was a fun movie to watch.
To be honest I didn't really connect with the film or any of its characters. It had some cool scenes but the A-Team lacked a kind of chemistry. It felt like this film was intended as an introduction to the new team with more films to come and this has left it feeling a bit of a letdown as they are not the tight knit company of men many came to love in the series. Jessica Biel portrays a very two dimensional character and I thought at times she was trying to do a Horatio Caine impression. It all smacked a little of Charlie's Angels. Visually looking good with an impressive cast, but lightweight and popcorn in the delivery.
It's an OK film to watch. I was glad I didn't shell out and go see it at the cinema. Perhaps if they get the green light for a follow up they will create a better storyline and really showcase the friendship and trust between the team members.
