Guest's review of Nokian All Season

“195/55 R16 Nokian WR M+S all season. ”

195/55 R16 Nokian WR M+S all season.

In all fairness this tire simply doesn't work with my XRS. The wet weather grip is severely below what I would expect for this wintery all season tire. Any exuberance from a stoplight in the rain causes a wheel to spin and pedestrians to stare or look back. And it gets ten times worse if I'm starting on a hill. It seems okay on the highway but I did have some hydroplane incidents after a heavy rain fall. Standing start dry grip is below average for a all season tire. And it seems to have slightly below average grip in a corner in either wet or dry conditions. They seem decent in snow/slush, but I don't drive the car often in those conditions.

Car history: Used 2005 Toyota Corolla XRS: 170hp, 6 Speed Manual. Purchased with Nokians on stock rims ??? milage. Car is bone stock and I had it aligned at Toyota dealer shortly after purchase, I rotated the tires after 3000km. My review is after those two things had been done, and the tires performance had marginally improved.

I will be replacing these Nokians with something different.
