Thanks for your opinion Drew.
After years of not riding (road for a dozen years, 15+ years ago) I recently found a mint condition 96 CBR900RR with only 10k miles. Everything is stock except for the Micron full race exhaust. I replaced the stock shield with a taller double bubble, fresh fluids, new chain and tires.
Although I have only had it for less than 2 weeks it's an amazing bike. I get nothing but stares and compliments from about everyone that passes by. The tech that mounted my tires wanted to buy it badly and was so surprised how clean it was said I shouldn't even drive it and lock it up in my garage.
I'm hardly a knee dragger or weekend at the track kind of person. Though I enjoy a high speed ride now and then. But I'm not a youngster anymore and think I'm immortal and try to defy the laws of physics. And certainly, I do not want to blemish this pristine machine.
Just search YouTube under ViggoM35, I'll have some videos of it amongst other vehicles I have owned.
The only complaint I have is the comfort level of the seat last as long as a full tank of fuel will take you. The plus side is that it has plenty of storage under the rear seat vs newer sharp tail sport bikes, where you're lucky to fit you reg and insurance papers.
