Singer 2273 Review

I decided to update my sewing machine after 35 years using a Jones machine, so I ordered the Singer 2273. I wish I hadn't bothered The machine is flimsy plastic, the foot pedal so light that it was difficult to keep it from slipping away when pressure was applied to it. The horizontal spool holder is thin plastic which bends when used. This machine might sew on very thin fabrics but it certainly would not work on the chenille curtain I tried it on. Out came the old Jones machine & my curtain was soon hemmed!!

This machine is rubbish!
