Create and Craft Club and Ideal World, well what can I say, overpaid, overpriced and sadly over here. Earlier this year I phoned them to buy a Cricut package and join the Create & Craft Club. I intended to pay using a Maestro card and was told that I could not take up the flexi pay option (this was only after they had already taken the payment for the C & C Club membership).
I asked them to cancel the order and was told I would have to contact Customer Services to get my £20.00 refunded. Three emails later and no response. I still have had no membership details but last week received their "new" magazine. In no way could this be regarded as a crafting magazine, all that it amounted to was a catalogue of goods for sale and a huge amount of self serving drivel.
On Wednesday night I again attempted to buy the Cricut personal cutter. After the operator tried to sell it me at full price it took me 15 minutes to establish that I was a C & C Club member and entitled to a discount and £10 credit. I was advised that credit had expired in July, oh so money for nothing, thanks said I.
I now intend to buy a better machine from Lancaster's CardCraft-UK, where their prices invariably beat Ideal Worlds, they offer a 2yr guarantee and you get a brilliant service.
P.S. They got the one star because I have to put a star, not because they deserve it!
