“The St Ives holiday village was our given park as part...”

The St Ives holiday village was our given park as part of a sun holiday deal. Wasn't expecting much from a £9.50 holiday but OMG! The site is awful!! We were given the woodland wood hut but I almost felt like crying after seeing how basic, dirty and mouldy the hut was. After asking if we could move cabins we were told that the site was full. We enquirer with John Fowlers head quarters who told us there was plenty of spaces. Returning to te reception to enquire again another lady said there was others free...we tried another an this was as bad. They then offered us an upgrade to the woodland silver, this was web worse. We encountered bugs, damp, smells, broken furniture, rotten doors, lack of heating, dwarf size baths with no showers, lumpy broken mattresses and mouldy pillows. At this point feeling tired we asked to move parks. They moved us to the Tolroy which is much much better. We happily settled for a place at the Tolroy even tho this too had a few mouldy pillows and was in desperate need of decorating etc. Even with this it was 100 times better than te St Ives park! Not even considering the accommodation, the St Ives park was run down, dirty and rotten. Cannot speak for the top wood huts at the St Ives park but I know I will never be going there again. A clean simple chalet would do but the places we saw should have been demolished for health and safety reasons ages ago!! Be warned. Ps I'm an IT guy from Bristol so have no reason to be biased.
