I had never ridden a motor cycle before and having just retired and at the age of 56 it was something I wanted to do.

The team at West Pennine were professional and had safety as their main priority, with getting you through your test coming a very close second.

I failed my first test through my own fault, but passed easily the second time.

The tuition was excellent, the instructors patient, polite and supportive. I used my own bike so can't comment on equipment.

One unexpected bonus is that I find myself doing a shoulder check when I'm driving my car, and I have more respect for bikers.
