Just bought a a 2010 VFR800 Vtec. It's actually a 2009 model as Honda haven't made any this year. This is my third vtec and i have to say i love them. First trip out from the dealer was a 700 mile jolly up to sweden. No issues, good tank range when in touring mode (over 200 miles) and let's face it, after riding for that distance, you want to stop.

Build quality on all the VFR's i've had over the years is top notch. Since Honda sorted the vtec issue out by remapping the ecu and changing the range at which the vtec cuts in, it's a different animal. You can be aggresive if you want and it behaves accordingly, or more relaxed and the bike picks up on that.

I don't find the bike overly portly, compared to all out sports bikes , yes, but let's not forget this does touring as well. I actually fitted a full set of Givi luggage to mine (topbox, panniers) for half the price of the Honda luggage (also made by Givi btw) and fully loaded the bike is still easy to drive.

The lights are amazing, best on any production motorcycle. Seat is comfortable, moulds itself to the shape of your behind, pillion seat ditto, my girlfriend loves it on the back. Servicing costs are not as bad as some people make out either, best to shop around for that.

Top motorcycle, good at pretty much anything, i can't see myself having anything else now.
