Tesco travel insurance. Claim was settled yesterday for an incident in January 2010. Having been mugged in Barcelona I was pretty fragile in Feb when I made the claim and the advisor I spoke to was totally unsympathetic and spoke to me as if I were the mugger rather than the victim. When I did not send back the claim form as quickly as they would like (there is no official timescale) I was harrassed with letters and phone calls but once I had done this all went very quiet. 7 phone calls and 3 complaints later I received a cheque with no explanation of how they had reached the settlement figure. I had to phone them for an oral breakdown.
There is NO email address, you cannot speak to the same person twice, the actual person whose name is on the letter did not once contact me as far as I know, and trying to find out their claims procedure I hit a brick wall.
