I had 9 pairs of Clarks wich are now in the garbage. One particular pair of slightly used shoes totally desintegrated on me within 2 hours of wearing them, the soles on both shoes splitting from front to back. At an event, I had to run to buy shoes. Asking the company to tell me how long their shoes could last. The company responded by saying that Clarks shoes must be worn everyday or almost everyday to last five years, and should not be allowed to dry up. If you think you are paying more for a quality brand, beware. Clarks is not what it used to be

Exactly the same happened to me this week - Clarks have obviously changed their suppliers and are using substandard material for their shoes. They should not be allowed to sell goods not fit for purpose.
