We had a nice cabin with a balcony on deck 9. We asked the cabin attendant to do two things for us and he did not do them. On the departure day, he put us out an hour and a half before disembarking - this made it very difficult as I use a wheelchair. The food on the ship was excellent and the dining room staff were first class (Oliver was our waiter). The ship was very clean and most of the staff made us feel very comfortable. However, in the middle of the week we got a letter saying how much tips we were to give each waiter and the cabin attendant. It was more than $ 200 for the three of us. Why don't they pay these people a decent wage instead of asking the passengers to top up their salaries? The message came after we had paid for the cruise and with each drink we ordered (and the drinks were expensive!), we had paid a tip already. A medium-sized bottle of water was nearly $ 5.00. A large bottle of water on the mainland was
0.50 Euro.
