The website and brochures promise a level of comfort that is just not deliverable in the planes Canadian Affair have chartered from Thomas Cook - the crew told us that 30 extra seats had been added. The entertainment system didnt work out or back - a common problem. I hope their engine maintenance is rather better.
I cant agree with the "you get what you pay for" view. Some bargains are available, but many people are paying top fares for the convenience of direct flights from regional airports. Some of these tickets cost more than flights by British Airways or Air Canada. There were previously 3 low cost airlines from Glasgow to Canada, now only one. The monopoly position is evident in the contempt with which Canadian Affair treat their customers.
Fly via Iceland, Amsterdam or even London. Don't fly with Canadian Affair.
