We have just spent 3-days in Edinburgh. We visited the Castle, the Royal Yacht, Camera Obscura and the Zoo.
Edinburgh was easily the least enjoyable place we went to and offered extremely poor value for money. Admission was £37 for 2 adults and one child. The site slopes uphill quite steeply in places and isn't much fun to wander around, as you only want to haul yourself up the hill once. Once you get to the top the "Hilltop Safari" is non-existant, just empty fields. To top things off all the kiosks were shut bar the main one by the penguins.
Many of the other enclosures were also empty, though the tigers, leopards and penguins were good. There is also building work going on.
Toilet facilities poor - just two by the entrance. There are some other toilets further up - but the gents were closed.
Staff were good doing the talks, but generally not many staff about.
Overall the place seemed to be shambolically run and trading on past reviews. It is definitely not worth the money asked.
