The Peugeot 1.6 207 HDI is one of the best small diesel cars I've driven in a long time.

Pulling in a 90bhp, no more than the 1.4 petrol equivalent but having miles and miles more torque this car will have no problems lugging five passengers and luggage on holiday up the steepest of hills!

Virtually exactly the same as the petrol models in the cabin, but with improved AC buttons and recirculating button instead of manual slider which is much more modern.

To give you an idea of the economy I can cover approximately 200 miles on 1/6th of a tank. On a whole tank, if I drive carefully I can get almost 600-700 miles! Oh at £30 will get you taxed for a whole year.

Servicing levels a bit lower than the petrol (which was 20k) at 12.5k per interval or 12 months whichever comes first. Tyres the same although expect little harder wear on the front, as the engine is a little heavier.

Corners just as well as the petrol, with super light steering. Comfy interior, which also blocks the chug of the diesel engine nicely.

I would recommend this car to anyone who is looking for a small nippy run about who is worried about economy but want it to be spacious at the same time.
