The Park Hotel in Amsterdam is in a great spot to explore this fantastic city.
It is a few yards away from the Vondelpark which is a great place for a wander/bite to eat on a nice day.
It is also a few minutes walk from all the sites and sounds of central Amsterdam.
Our room overlooked the canal and was very clean and well decorated.
The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and there is little to fault this great little hotel.
The design of the hotel was fairly funky without being too over the top.
We did not eat in the hotel so I cannot comment about the food, but the restaurant that is attached to the hotel (Momo) seemed to be doing good business, so I can only assume the food was good.
The hotel was quite expensive (around 200 Euros a night) but this felt more expensive than it usually would due to the £/Euro exchange rate, plus it is a very good hotel in the centre of Amsterdam, so the price isn't ridiculously high for what you get.
Overall, if you want to base yourself somewhere pretty central, but still in a nice park-environment overlooking the canal then this is the place for you. We would definitely go back again.
