Nice People Nice Food Nice Place, But Would Go Bac

Nice people nice food nice place, but would go back but to a another hotel, sorry but true. Staff can be a bit rude and we paid till the 7th day but yet we are not even allowed back in our rooms till the coach comes, this is ludicrous and what about mother and there children waiting.

Overall both my partner and myself enjoyed our stay at Drossia Palms, and would definately recommend it to a friend. The possibility of returning also looks good.

The dog in the hotel is also brightens up your day, she is very loving and friendly towards everyone and is very pleasant natured, although she is tired most of the time and snores!!!!!!!!

Its Difficult To Describe How Much I Rate Drossia

Its difficult to describe how much I rate Drossia Palms. Having been to Magaluf, Ibiza, Benidorm, and Faliraki I know all too well the types of places you can end up in. Drossia Palms is 1st class for where you are going. I liked it so much I'm going back again this year.

I Went To The Malia Drossia Palms On Crete With My

I went to the Malia Drossia Palms on Crete with my Dad. We booked through Thomas Cook and flew with their own airline from Birmingham. Flights were on time, both on the outbound and return journey. The brochure said it is a 1 hour 40 minute transfer to Malia, but only took about 1 hour. We flew into Heraklion. It has a very small arrivals area after you come through customs. Everything is outside. Each company has a little hut that they use. When we got outside, we found our Thomas Cook rep, and she directed us to the hut. On getting there they asked where we were staying and told us which number coach to get on. Everything went very smoothly. We were second to be dropped off on the coach and so were soon in our room. We paid for air conditioning when we checked in. We were very gratefull for this. It was very hot. There was a welcome meeting next day at midday, but we missed this. We did see a Thomas Cook rep later that day, and introduced ourselves. We asked about excursions, but she didnt have the information with her at that time, and said she would come back at a certain time, but she never showed up. We stayed around the pool as well so that we didnt miss her, so was not very happy about this, but i guess we would have stayed around the pool anyway.

We thought we would get a moped for a day or two, but everybody seemed to be on a moped, and they were mad riding. I am surprised I didn't see an accident, although I nearly got hit by one. You have to watch yourselve, even just walking around teh resort. Anyway we enquired about getting a moped, and they only hired for a minimum of 3 days. We were told this is because it is high season. We could not understand this, as they had mopeds sitting there not being used. For 3 days they wanted 80 euros. We then though about getting a car. We got a car for 2 days for 40 euros, which included all insurances. We drove to a neighbouring resort of Hersonnisos and found a go-kart track there. This was great fun, and went back another two days. One day we didnt have a car, and so went there on the bus. This cost 1 euro each one way. The go-karts cost 15 eruos each for 10 mintes. This works out about £1 per minute so was quite expensive, but what the hell, we were on holiday, and we did enjoy it racing each other.

This is about all we did. It was too hot to do much energetic, but my Dad did go to the market on Saturday in the car, which is at Heraklion. He only bought a pair of sunglasses, but when he got back he found that there was a scratch on them, which was concealed by a sticker, so be careful of this if you go.

Transfers and flights back home were equally as smooth, except when we arrived at Heraklion where we had to wait a while for our check in desk to be displayed. Of course, so was everybody else on that flight, so when it finally came up everybody rushed for the desk at once and as a result there was a big queue. We did not eat at the hotel, this is the only reason I have put 0 stars.
