2 years ago his reciever was hailed as the answer to many a AV fans budget based system up grade. However, this may not really be the case for anyone who has had the time to play around with one for a few months. If you sold an older, more capable amp/reciever that was not equipped with HDMI in order to access the newer HD audio codecs then, like me, you will be disappointed....DEEPLY! Build quality is only just acceptable, and sound quality, although not bad, is nothing to write home about. I read on one AV forum that owners soon become aware of a 800hz buzz[approx.] that will make itself known in quieter passages of movies or music. Trust me if you use speakers of a more mid to high end nature you will notice this buzz in a smaller room. Shame really, cos if this wasn't the case this would be a decent budget reciever.
