Overall wonderful holiday, hotel and resort. Something for everyone. Great, lively, activity pool, including pool bar. Food excellent: varied, fresh and well presented.
Highly recommend: Freestyle Catamaran day trip. The crew make the day.Ocean Grill (on the beach) ask for the lobster, extra charge but well worth it!Tips are appreciated and returned with extra special service.Beach vendors, no problem very friendly.Nearby Golf course excellent.Get up early and catch their sunrise!We'll return.

Gran Ventana Hotel is great,the staff are very helpful, Great Food and great entertainment team. The hotel staff do not get paid enough to do the job they do, and they always have a pure smile on thier face.
In answer to stephanie re recommended excursursions.... highly recommend freestyle caterman, includes snorkel diving and hand feeding fish, great music too. Food and drinks laid on. Crew fantastic! Views of coast. Then exciting freestyle 1&2 race back under full sail. Breathtaking. Say 'hola' to Choco.

Puerto Plato is a great place, we have been to Gran Ventana twice and we love it one tip is to get your tourist card before you go
a tourist card can be obtained before you go from the embassy or you pay $20(i think) at the airport
Good question... I think it comes with the package or something, not too sure to tell you the truth.
