Bought my adventure after owning the new GS800, wanted something with a bit more road presence. Unfortunately I believed the hype. As soon as the bike saw the salt on british roads the corrosion was almost taking hold in front of my eyes. The computer told lies, lies and then more lies, these ranged from no fuel and no oil to no air. Fuel consumption is also an issue, i was lucky to see 45mpg with 40-43 the norm. The BMW warranty is also a joke, those of you who like to maintain your own bike beware, the warranty only covers BMW parts purchased from a BMW dealer. If you get your BMW parts from say someone like Motobins, your parts are no warranted and that's just criminal. That said the rides fine and the range good, you pays your money and makes your choice, I'm no longer a BMW customer, the new Ducati Multistrada looks the best bet.
