Good Points
An excellent player for the price, plays DVD, VCD,CD and more. Easy to use hack. An all round winner!

Bad Points
Haven't found any yet.

General Comments
The Dansai 852 is a great DVD player from Tesco certainly giving the Wharfedale a run for its money. I originally went to buy the Wharfedale M5 only to find that Tesco are no longer stocking them! Maybe a new player is on the horizon? Anyway, I didn't know much about the Dansai player so trawler the net and read some reviews. This site really convinced me that this could be a good buy and I must say I'm not disappointed! Not the most aesthetic player available, compared to Wharfedale and Kenwood offerings, but what it lacks in looks it certainly makes up for in features. The picture quality is good as is the sound reproduction, plays MPEG's and VCD's without a hitch and is region free to boot (via a hack). This is undoubtably the best player Tesco has stocked and unless Wharfedale return with a player that is cheaper and even better than the M5 and 750, this little baby is going to be hard to beat.
