Fuji FinePix 2200.

The camera still does a turn in emergencies. I bought this camera for my wife at Easter 2001 in a half-price sale at Currys. It was our first digital camera although she'd had one for work before - A Canon, I think. Easy to use once you've mastered the menus.

Issues - not really much good indoors even with flash, hard on batteries, the SmartMedia memory card is a dead format and restricted to 125 Mb which even at 1600X1200 is low, the Fuji proprietary USB connection is a pain as the batteries drain even quicke when transferring to PC. If you have a multi-format card reader you can save a lot.

The lens is good though and the pictures can be very good.
