I was given this as a wedding gift over 6 years ago. It gets used all the time for chopping veg, mixing cakes, batters, general blending, grating and slicing, you name it. Never had a problem with it. Never broken a dough blade or any other part. The lid has recently started to split, but I've had it 6 years, its been regularly put through the dishwasher, so I reckon its been good value.
