Fake Bake Beyond Bronze Self Tanning Lotion:



I'd like to begin by stating just how important I think the patch test is! I have heard of quite a few people getting a really bad rash when using this product. Usually people with very light sensitive skin. I did the patch test on the inside of the top of my thigh and left it 24hours.



This lotion comes in a simple yet trendy bottle, something you wouldn't mind keeping on display in your bathroom. I like the fact it has a pump included. Gives you more choice when applying the tan. It does have a bit of a nasty smell but not a very strong one. You can only really smlell it during application and after if you literally sniff yourself! Its not a bad enough smell to stop anyone using the product in my opinion.



I was pretty shocked at just how dark the lotion was, but when putting onto the skin I could see why it was so dark. It completely eliminates the chance of you getting streaks as you can see EXACTLY where the tan is going and how even it is. If it does go streaky then I would say you only have yourself to blame!



I was extremely impressed with how easy it was too put on my feet and around ankles, there is nothing worse than a beautiful tan with white feet! It was also quite easy to blend into the hands. I had no problems with my elbows/knees going darker, however I am a regualar lotion tanner and have the exfoliating nack down to a fine art now! You should exfoliate your whole body, but don't scrub too hard as it will make your skin sore and may sting when you use the fake tan.



I would definitely suggest keeping an old flannel or towel near by during application of the lotion so that if you have put too much of the lotion on a certain area you can wipe it off quickly.. as mentioned in the products instructions, this lotion starts to work as soon as it meets the skin, hence why gloves are provided.



After applying, you need to wait around 10 mins to let the product fully dry. I wore some satin PJ's to bed and in the morning there was not a mark on the bed sheets. I think satin PJ's work well as they do not stick to the fake tan like cotton perhaps would.



My tan the next day looked very natural, and exceeded my expectations. I had not bothered to do my face in case it went terribly wrong but next time I definitely will. 1 application leaves quite a light tan. I will be re-applying tonight to make it a bit darker and I think that will be enough.



I would definitely recommend this product. It is pricey, but you do get what you pay for. It is a very natural tan colour and definitely the best streak free tan I have used.
