We attended a wedding in London and stayed at this beautiful 16th century lodge for two nights. It's about 20 miles from the centre of London so not far from all the major attractions.
When we checked in and were shown to our room we discovered that the shower was broken but within minutes we had been allocated a new, bigger and better room at no extra price.
The room we stayed in was immaculate with very luxurious bedding and wi-fi (ideal for checking up on the kids back home). We did not get chance to eat in the restaurant but I heard
a couple of the guests saying how good it was. There is a lovely, beamed Tudor Bar which we found very relaxing. Price wise, we paid £74.00 for our room, the price
included a full english breakfast, pretty reasonable I think.
