Purchased steam generator via Argos in Oct 07. Faulty in Feb 08, replaced by Argos and again in April 08. Three further faults found in Oct 09. Phillips customer service refused to repair, even though the product was purchased with 2 yr guarantee. Phillips said the guarantee would run from Jan 07. After paying £199.00 for an iron I would expect it last longer thatn 18 months, especially after already having had to replace it on two other occassions. My recommendation would be to buy another make due to poor durability and lack of customer service from Phillips.
