Lofer, Haus Patricia Review

I cannot begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our eleven day stay at Haus Patricia. We were met at the airport by our host whose welcoming and friendly manner set our holiday off on the right foot. When we arrived at Haus Patricia we were greeted with a tray of refreshments and a warm smile.

The first thing to say is that the view from our room and balcony of the mountain range overlooking Lofer was staggering, the house and gardens were clean, well maintained and comfortable. The hosts could not be more willing to do everything to make our stay a pleasurable experience, and I feel I must applaud them for going that extra mile.

Haus Patricia is central to the village and amenities and is well positioned for exploring the surrounding area, we visited Salzberg, Bad Reichenhall, Zell am See by bus, cycled to Seisenbergklamm and walked to St.Martin, Lofer Alm, Au and Kepper. We also enjoyed many walks along the Saalach River, which is situated just behind Haus Patricia. All of which offer fantastic settings and views.

Whilst the breakfasts were very good with fresh fruit salads, cereals, eggs and a variety of breads and cakes it took a couple of evenings to establish favourable places to eat as the Austrians seem to like a lot of salt in their food, but once established the food was plentiful good value and enjoyable from the ample supply of restaurants in the locality.

I have no hesitation in recommending Haus Patricia as I know you will be made very welcome and enjoy your stay there.
