BOSCH SMU50E15AU Review

I have given one star only because a half is not possible!



I expected a lot from this BOSCH SMU50E15AU dishwasher, being a German made product, but it has failed my expectations miserably.



The set up guide was utterly useless, consisting of several mostly ambiguous/confusing diagrams (clearly for interpretation by people across many countries), leaving you to guess how to set the thing up! The manual provided no extra information on set up. Now that we've got it hooked up, it only 'starts' on the first cycle. It does not heat the water and it stops after a few minutes and lights up all the lights on the front panel. If only the little picture diagram was clearer, we might know for sure if it's something we are doing or not!!



And no, we are not dumb people - I have a science degree and my partner has a doctorate in the same area. We are very practical, hands-on, down-to-earth people. We've tried everything so it must be stuffed! The next fun step will be trying to get a replacement or a refund out of the supplier without them trying to send it away to get fixed.


The only good things I have to say about it are that:

- it is a very nice looking unit.

- it has loads of space inside for large items.
