Bourjois Rouge Hyperfix Review

Good Points
- durability (will literally last all day...and night if you don't remove it!)!
- kiss-proof! Color will not transfer if you use the gloss included.
( If you eat very greasy food it might smudge howeve, if you wipe it!)
- can be worn matte or glossy
- non sticky, long-lasting gloss
- works fine for dry lips, even without the gloss!

Bad Points
- you cannot use a different gloss on the lip paint or the color will wear off!!! (Not even a diffent gloss from the same brand. It absolutely has to be the gloss that's included in the product, or else the color will smudge /wear off.)
- I would have prefered a brush-type wand or pointier wand for more precise application of the lip color.

General Comments
I bought a wholesale lot of these lip colors on an auction site (it was a real bargain!) and I am really impressed with them! I have bought Bourjois products and this has become one of my favorites! Here's my review of Bourjois Rouge Hyperfix:

The product:
The product is double-sided. One side is the lip paint (all the colors I have are matte and creamy) that comes with a sponge-type wand; the other side is a shiny, thick but non-sticky gloss that has a brush-type wand.

Application:
First you apply the lip color, then wait a minute or two until it's complety dry. It gives very strong coverage so if you are going for a more subtle look you shoud dab the colour onto your lips with your finger (dabbing with tissue is not recommend, as the tissue tends to stick to your lip if the paint is still wet) instead. If you like your lips matte you're done :D! If you like a more shiny look or more volume, put on the gloss (make sure the paint is dry, else it will smudge!). The gloss applies really nicely, mainly due to the nice brush.

Durability/ Wearability:
That's the category this product really shines in! The packaging says semi-permanent and it last so well you could almost cross out the "semi" part. When I put it on in the morning the color will literally last all day. The gloss however will only stay on until you eat something so you will have to reapply after each meal.
(The lips don't absorb the gloss, so if you do not eat the gloss will last up to three to four hours from my experience.) The color however will last all day. (It only might wear off a tiny bit on the inside of the lip if you eat something hard and crunchy like Freanch bread, or if you have very dry and chapped lips.)

Removal:
I recommend waterproof make-up wipes or oil-based make-up removal products. This will definitely not go off with just water.
I will even go as far as to say this lip color is basically "waterproof".

All in all an excellent product, and for the price I paid I should be giving this ten stars and not nine ^^! If you're looking for a lip color that will last all day + look nice both matte and with gloss, this is definitely worth a try!
