Bad Points
None really - not a 5* by European standards but definitely 4*. They did 'lose' some laundry for over a week, but it did turn up eventually so no real problem (comfortable travelling clothes - we only needed them for our return flight.)

No hairdryer or tea making equipment in rooms (not a problem we took our own, but certainly 'nice to haves')

General Comments
Riu Mambo is an excellent well run resort, spotlessly clean, very good (for All Inclusive) food, staff helpful and friendly at all times. This was our second visit (09-23 March) our first being in November 2008. No surprises, hotel as we expected, although weather not as hot as we had expected.

Large light room with air conditioning and ceiling fan, cleaned spotlessly each day, fridge with soft drinks, water and beer refilled every other day. Also four x 1 litre optics in room which are also replaced every other day if required (don't know who could get through that amount of liquor in such a short time - we didn't use them at all during our stay, always had sufficient at the bar before retiring.) Rooms in small blocks dotted around the grounds with pleasant grassy areas and flower beds between them.

All public areas and gardens also kept spotlessly clean, as were the pools (water quality checked every couple of hours each day). Maids outside restaurant and all public toilets throughout the day and evening with antiseptic hand wash to ensure guests had high standard of hygeine

Restaurant food very good - bit repetitive by end of second week but always found something to eat (we are not very adventurous with food, so no fault on the hotel there.) Drinks (both soft and alcoholic) available throughout the day.

Nice walks along the beach and through the other Riu Hotels (we think the Mambo definitely the prettiest!)

Animation team always ready to chat for a few minutes, even though we did not join in their fun and games.

Trips organised through Thomas Cook rep. excellent, well organised and lovely people.
