Good Points
The wonderful food, attentive service and all the little in between courses that get delivered 'from the chef'
Bad Points
This restaurant is not cheap, but it is very true that you get what you pay for!
General Comments
I had one of the nicest meals i have ever had in Gordon Ramsay at Claridges. Once we got used to the very attentive service (waiters that bring you what you need before you even know you need it!) and the opulent environment, we revelled in it! The bread was lovely, fresh and warm, there was an amuse bouche of mushroom and celeriac veloute to welcome us, and then my starter was monkfish - beautifully light, perfectly cooked. For my main course i chose slow cooked lamb and it was delicious, one of the best main courses i have ever had. I had the trio of chocolate dessert, rich, decadent and gorgeous and we just could not resist the amazing cheese trolley that was being pushed around the dining room! As you can imagine, we were there for a very long time - over four hours to fit in all those lovely courses as well as all the little extra palette cleansers that arrived from the chef. We completed the dining extravaganza with coffee and chocolates... the chocolates were stunning. We couldn't finish them but wanted to take them home and so asked for a box to put them in, the box arrived.... and it was full of more chocolates! A lovely final touch to an amazing experience.
