Good Points
The volume of the board makes for easy paddling which equates to catching more waves which means more fun and more progression with your surfing.
Despite the length width and depth of the board it is incredibly responsive which means more enjoyment .
Bad Points
I didn't buy one earlier!
General Comments
The Mccoy Nugget board has made me remember why I first got into surfing - the addictive exhilaration of catching and riding a wave. When the evolution of surfing design shifted to thrusters and thinner more slender boards my enjoyment of surfing wanned. I traded in my MR twin fin for the tooth picks that the pros used that took surfing to a new level but as I got older and heavier, I found the new boards made catching waves hard work and no longrer fun. Refusing to buy a Mal, I stopped surfing for a decade until my son started surfing and I wanted to go with him. Then I stumbled across the Nugget. Over the last 18 months I have rediscovered the stoke of surfing thanks to Geoff McCoy's design. The board is fast, loose, responsive and a wave magnet! If you paddle for a wave you are going to catch it. I have recommended the Nugget to my friends and they love them too! Thanks Geoff for reigniting the stoke!
