General Comments
I was a single female learner driver when I bought my Toyota Rav4 convertible, owned it for almost 8 years & loved it. Sure the rear seats are small & only hold 2 but but I had no problem fitting 2 large adult passengers comfortably. Plus the rear sears easily lift up & stow securely for extra floorspace. After getting married & with the the birth of our first child it was religated to our second car but the back seat still fits a baby capsule snugly behind the front passenger.
Good on gas & ideal around town, but still has enough get-up-and-go to make it a good highway car. It was always tremendously reliable & parts are readily available. Only problem we had was finding a replacement fastening for the side of the top after the plastic snapped due to constant sun exposure (the car lived it's entire life in North Queensland, Australia)
Have since moved overseas so have sadly sold it to a father buying a car for his 16 year old daughter. My husband always felt safer knowing I was driving it so I can thoroughly recommend it as a perfect choice for a young driver.
