“Our family stayed in Atlantis at Harborside from...”

Our family stayed in Atlantis at Harborside from Sunday to Saturday, the last week of January 09. We Loved the New Pools, Water Slides, and New Beaches inside the resort. Monday and Tuesday we walked to the Local Fish Market that is located on the Exit Bridge of Paradise Island (Unfortunately Its on the Far Side about a 10 Minute Walk) and purchased Fresh Fish Daily from a man who not only cleaned but also marinated the fish for us daily, he was not expensive compared to the Island Restaurants. We purchased 3 - 5 Red Snapper and Yellow Tail Snapper for around $10 per day. We cooked it in the Kitchen at Harborside. We were able to go to the grocery store via the Harborside Shuttle $7 and purchase what we needed for 5 Adults and 1 Child for the week, it cost $95. That added to the food we brought in our luggage made for a reasonably priced vacation traveling with a 2 year old with a lot of amenities for the whole family. We ate out two nights, Once at Carmines (Like a Buca-Di-Beppo, Family Style Italian) for all 6 including a beverage or two was $203 with the tip included and two appetizers. The last night we were in town we went to another restaurant, Columbus Tavern. The food was really good; we all had an appetizer and salad (pretty bland), and for a main dish it was either grouper, stuffed with blue crab or cooked with garlic and butter, I had the rack of lamb, and of course a drink or two! The total bill was $230 with the tip included. For daily Cocktails, upon arrival, we purchased a case of Corona ($44) and made our own Passion Fruit $5 with Pineapple $5 and Rum $15. The airline we used was US Air we found some of the flight attendants quite rude and seemed simply oblivious to their customers needs. They also now charge for water on the plane. I guess my $350 airfare can ' t cover the cost of a bottle of water or a cup of tea! This was my second trip and my families 3rd trip to the resort in the past 5 years. It has grown a lot in the 2 years since my last visit. I hope this was helpful, enjoy!
