Good Points
Spotlessly clean everywhere - no Gyppy Tummy- Friendly, honest staff; good food, great location, loved the hammocks on the beach; ideal for older travellers and older SINGLE travellers and young families.

Bad Points
None

General Comments
Marriott Hotel and Taba Heights were exactly as good as I'd imagined them before going there. It's a classy resort with luxury hotels. People who like T.H. tend not to like Sharm el Sheik and vice versa. Those who do not like Sharm say it is too touristy. Others find T.H. too quiet.
T.H. is an ideal location to make a number of excursions from: Cairo, Jerusalem, Mt Sinai and Bedouin Dinner/Stargazer night - all of which I did. Many more are available. It pays to shop around the agents offering excursions, not just buy the ones with your own company...the rep who represents Orascom at El Wekala Hotel is very good...extremely helpful and cheaper than other agents, even than the same company at other hotels.
I have just returned from a December 08 fortnight at The Marriott, T.H.....would recommend it to anyone seeking relaxation, winter sunshine, the opportunity for interesting trips and sports (Waterworld and the Golf Course are there). I am a single female traveller and, at no stage in my holiday, did I feel insecure. There were other single women holidaying there at the same time. Booking through LastMinute.com I avoided paying a single room supplement, but had a superb double room with two double beds in it.

Can't speak highly enough of this hotel, holiday and resort.
