Good Points
Obviously a lot of money spent on costumes, sets etc.
Bad Points
The opening scene felt like I was attending a (serious) play, not a pantomime, with this opening (and closing scene) being far too long and serious. Captain Hook was a good baddie but the whole show shouldn't rest on his shoulders, which in my opinion it did.
General Comments
On the whole, this was in my opinion a fairly humourless performance - weak attempts at the 'oh no he isn't; oh yes he is' panto scenarios. I left the theatre feeling disappointed and deflated which is in stark contrast to last year's pantomime at Richmond which was full of humour aimed at both adults and children. This show really needs to work more on including traditional pantomime elements
