Good Points
Very comfortable in hand, hefty, solidly built. Works very well. Colors and design are masculine. Lots of features.

Bad Points
A bit on the loud side.

General Comments
After using the Braun Series 3 390CC Clean and Renew System for 3 days now, very pleased with this shaver. It is my first foil shaver, after having tried a different brand of shaver with the 3 rotary cutters, I decided that electric shavers were not for me because of the irritation they gave my sensitive skin. But after trying this foil shaver, I think I'm going to keep using it, no irritation, and although it does take a few passes over the same areas, the more you mow the smoother the face gets. Nice strong motor, and the clipper works well on the longer hair, recommended if the foils aren't getting them. The clean and renew system works great, and although you have to purchase more solution after a couple of months, the shaver itself tells you when you need to run a cleaning cycle, which should make the solution last longer. But even if you don't, you can run it under a stream of hot tap water for a few seconds and that will clean it fairly well. You can run it cordless under the tap, I wouldn't wash it while plugged into the wall outlet. Overall, quite happy with it, and highly recommend it. I purchased this one over the others in the 3 series based on that it was the only one with the cleaning system, and I felt like I didn't need all the features that the 5 and 7 series offer for quite a high premium. Of the different series of Braun shavers, this is definitely not a bottom of the line, cheapo shaver, it does the job well. Afterall, it is my first foil shaver and I am sure that if it lasts at least 1 to 2 years, it was worth the $100US I paid, and will buy another after it dies. I have heard that Braun shavers are known to last up to 7 years, but now they last only about 2-3, have yet to find out for myself. The 60 day satisfaction guarantee is a nice touch, just in case this one doesn't work well for your particular beard/skin combination, the retailer should take it back and you can try a different one. Excellent shaver.
