Good Points

Bad Points
The archetypal annoying brat character; some of the special effects are a bit cheesy

General Comments
The cast of The Mummy return for this sequel with a pace faster than a cheetah on steroids. The plot is the usual good vs evil fare with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz trying to rescue their son from the resurrected Imhotep who is planning to conquer the world using the army of an ancient Egyptian warrior called The Scorpion King (played by WWF's The Rock for about 2 minutes and with around 5 words of dialogue). Cue chase scenes, gun battles, sword fights, pygmy mummies, magic spells, plenty of CGI monsters and lots and lots of sand. The action never lets up - arguably because it has to make up for a wafer-thin script and some pretty uninspired performances by the actors - but you won't get bored. Overall if you're expecting a sophisticated storyline with character depth look elsewhere, but if you're after fun pure popcorn fodder you won't go far wrong with this film.
